September 2023, Rob and I took a trip with some friends to the Tankwa Karoo in South Africa...a place we travel to often and love. We stayed at Quagga Fontein farm, where the Afrikaburn event is held annually.

We drove around on Saturday and Sunday visiting friends and taking stock of the area...the new blossoms of spring were out as summer approached, but there was a huge storm predicted for the weekend...most of which hit Cape Town but we had our fair share of rain on the Sunday...where all the dirt roads become mud and everything slows down.

This is a short spec video of our travels and adventures on the weekend. For the first time, I was able to edit and create a story using a favorite poem and music to add the mood and direction of the edit. I'm very happy with the result and the ominous but cheerful energy I managed to capture...hope you enjoy :-)
